About SoCal Edison's Demand Response Program

You may not realize it, but at some point, you or the previous homeowner may have enrolled into the Southern California Edison Demand Response Program. This is an initiative that Edison put in place many years ago when the "flex alerts" began in the early 2000's.

If your air conditioning system suddenly stops working, it may be worthwhile to check and see if you have one of these boxes installed. If you do, there's a possibility that Edison has cycled off your air conditioning system to assist in shedding load during peak times.

If the LED's are green, then it has not been cycled off by SoCal Edison. However, if there is a red LED showing on the box, that means that your HVAC System has been temporarily cycled off to assist in shedding load during peak times.

If you have one of these boxes and your air conditioner is not working...

- Please inform our Staff when Calling that you have the SoCal Edison DRP Box.
